About Jo

Creativity has always been at the heart of Jo’s journey. From an early age, she found joy in making, crafting, and exploring different artistic techniques. As a teacher, she fostered a creative learning environment, sharing her passion with students. However, after the birth of her second child, Jo decided to step away from teaching to further develop her own artistic skills.

Pursuing an Access to Art and Design diploma provided her with a broad foundation in ceramics, 3D design, textiles, and printmaking. This experience deepened her love for creativity and mixed media, but it was printmaking, and particularly linoprint, that truly captured her imagination.

Now focusing primarily on printmaking, Jo has become known for her distinctive linoprints, which blend intricate detail with architectural and figurative designs. Inspired by her family, her home in Yorkshire, and the village where she grew up on the outskirts of York, her work reflects a deep connection to place and memory.

Through her linoprints, Jo brings everyday moments to life, layering storytelling and texture to create pieces that feel both personal and timeless.
